Laimutė Žilinskienė

Laimutė Žilinskienė is an associate professor at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Philosophy at Vilnius University. Her academic interests focus on the Soviet-era memories in life stories. She examines the contexts of adaptation in the Soviet and post-Soviet-era, behavioural models in life stories of the generations, family memory formation, and ethic aspects of Soviet-era research. She is the editor of the collective studies: ‘Soviet-Era Memory in Life Stories’ (2014), Born in Socialism: the First Soviet Generation (2016). She has published articles on adaptation models in Soviet and post-Soviet era, communicative family memory, changing family values across the generations.
