Artificial intelligence tools are being increasingly utilized in the global publishing industry for a range of tasks, including editing, translation, metadata generation, and marketing. The implementation of such tools varies across regions, particularly in small language markets like Lithuania, where legal uncertainty and cultural attitudes shape implementation strategies. In this research study, the authors investigate how Lithuanian book readers and publishers perceive and evaluate the application of artificial intelligence tools in various book publishing processes, specifically in relation to copyright, authorship, and legal and ethical considerations.
