Gintė Martinkėnė

Gintė Martinkėnė is a PhD candidate in Sociology at the Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Philosophy at Vilnius University. Current research focuses on the migration and family relations, children care in Lithuanian migrant families. Publications include articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals: ‘Lithuanian Family in the Context of Migration: Representation in Legal Documents and TV Broadcasts’ (2011; co-authoring with I. Juozeliūnienė); Application of Mapping Method in Sociology (2012; co-authoring with I. Juozeliūnienė and L. Kanapienienė). She participated in the project about migrant families, funded by the Research Council of Lithuania (2017-2019), and studied parental displays across borders.
