Jakub M. Godzimirski

Jakub M. Godzimirski is research professor at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI). He holds a PhD in social anthropology. Between 1995 and 2012 he served as senior research fellow at the Centre and Department of Russian and Eurasian Studies at the NUPI. In 2009–10, he was the head of the NUPI Energy Programme. In 2012–13, he was the head of the NUPI Research Group on European Affairs, and since 2014 he is again member of the NUPI’s Russia team. His present research interests include the Russian foreign and security policy, with a focus on energy role and Russia’s relations with the West. He has edited several volumes on these issues and published many peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on the Russian policy and its reception in Europe.
